Leadership Matters

Leadership is an important role, one which we should take seriously. The Global Leadership SUMMIT every year is a must for me when it comes to sharpening the saw.

Thankfully , it is broadcast to hundreds of thousands of leaders across the world thus enabling us to participate from our different countries.

Here are some notes I took from this year’s SUMMIT themed ‘ Design Your Tommorow’.

‘Obsess about what you were created to do!!
If you don’t obsess about something then you’ll never be great at anything….
Find your WHALE! : Whole Hearted All Encompassing Life Endeavor…. And obsess about achieving it! ‘

Craig Groeschel

‘Don’t let damage of any kind distort your leadership voice!’

Jo Saxton

‘Humans are designed for connection and communication causes that connection to happen. We all carry a frequency that becomes our dominant way of communicating. I have stopped listening to words. I listen to frequencies’

Erwin Mc Manus

‘4 habits of the happiest people are around Faith, Family, Friends and meaningful work.
Work is least.. don’t overindex on career.’

Arthur C. Brooks

On succession and transition : ‘if the organization you lead, thrives better in your absence you are a great ( Level 5) leader.’

David Ashcraft

‘Ask not: What is my legacy, but WHO is my legacy’

Dan Owolabi

‘As leaders our goal is not activity but productivity. Create a ‘To Don’t list’
Be strategically absent .. a leader must create systems that work in his absence ‘

Craig Groeschel
