INTRODUCTION
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the year 2025, the team from the International Packaging Industries Holding undertook a meaningful outreach to the Heritage Orphanage Home. The theme of our visit was “Spreading Smiles”, aimed at bringing joy and a sense of inclusion to the children in celebration of the Children’s Day,

PARTICIPANTS
The visit was undertaken by the following members of staff:
• Mrs. Yetunde Oladunjoye
• Mr. Labake Babalola
• Miss Chioma Okoye
• Miss Oyinkan Oriola

ACTIVITIES
We arrived at the orphanage home at approximately 1:30 p.m. and were warmly received by some of the staff. We had been informed that the children would return from school around 3:00 p.m. so we took time to set up and interact with the caregivers. Upon the children’s arrival, we engaged in various fun activities including singing, games, prayers, and watching television  together. These activities were designed to foster a joyful atmosphere and give the children a sense of belonging during the Children’s Day celebration.

DONATIONS
In line with our commitment to giving back, we came bearing essential items and provisions for the children. These items were received with appreciation by the staff and will go a long way in supporting the welfare of the children.

OBSERVATIONS
The children were excited and enjoyed the interaction. Many of them expressed a desire for us to visit again. Though we were unable to take photographs with the children due to the orphanage’s privacy policy, we were allowed to take pictures with some of the administrative staff and caregivers as a record of the visit.

CONCLUSION
The visit was both impactful and heartwarming, fulfilling our CSR objective of “Spreading Smiles.” We believe that such engagements help build a strong connection with the community and contribute positively to the development of the society.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that visits of this nature be made a regular part of our CSR calendar, with periodic follow-up to reinforce our support for Orphanage Homes and similar institutions.
